Aman Rosa Alpina, Italy
Long renowned as one of the Dolomites’ most iconic destinations, Aman Rosa Alpina opened its doors in July 2025 following a monumental transformation into a fully-fledged Aman. In the heart of San Cassiano village, its reawakening unveiled not only a reimagined mountain retreat, but a collection of restaurants and culinary experiences paying tribute to its storied past.
Aman Rosa Alpina, Italy - Zeno Suite
From family-style, Italian feasting at The Grill to intimate wine tastings in the Di Vino Room, Aman Rosa Alpina not only emerged as a new sanctuary but added to the region’s rich culinary scene. This winter, the property will continue to grow this offering with the launch of Enju, a Shabu Shabu concept, designed to bring Asian-inspired contrast to traditional mountain indulgence. In a serene, minimalist setting, guests will be invited to gather around steaming hotpots of premium cuts of meat and fresh vegetables, share carefully prepared sashimi and sip fine Japanese sakes and rare teas – a ritualistic culinary experience.

Beyond the table, the Dolomiti Superski region awaits – a vast alpine landscape of 1,200 kilometres of slopes stretching across the UNSECO-protected Dolomites. From the hotel’s home in San Cassiano village, this snowsports playground is made effortlessly accessible via the hotel’s Ski Butler service, Ski Lounge and seamless shuttle transfers to the nearby Piz Sorega lift. Alternatively, guests can take to the peaks through a range of guided experiences including snowshoeing, winter hiking and ice climbing, with a host of curated adventures bringing the slopes to life.
Perhaps the most moving of experiences is WWI Ski Tour, which follows in the footsteps of soldiers more than a century ago. Beginning atop Lagazuoi mountain with a 7.5-kilometre descent, the journey takes guests across 80 kilometres of scenic terrain, combining the exhilaration of skiing with poignant stories of time gone by, visiting significant wartime sites and vantage points that shaped history. The day concludes with lunch, where hearty regional cuisine is served by the fire, allowing a moment to reflect on the day’s discoveries.

Equally memorable is the Sella Ronda experience, a day-long ski tour circling the Sella massif plateau which rises over 3,000 metres. Perfectly connected lifts and groomed slopes enable skiers to trace nearly 30 kilometres of trails in one seamless loop, never crossing the same piste twice. The circuit reveals the Dolomites’ vistas at their most awe-inspiring, with the unmatched sense of freedom for which this legendary route has become renowned.

After a day spent in the great outdoors, the resort’s spa offers a restorative place to find warmth and reenergize, whether by swimming in one of its three pools, feeling the benefits of hydrotherapy or opting for a deeply healing treatment that draws inspiration from the alpine surrounds. The signature Dolomites Spa Journey exclusive to Aman Rosa Alpina is the ideal choice for those seeking to fully rejuvenate mind, body and soul. People today don’t fit into boxes and categories. In our individual ways, we are interested in diverse themes, products, and the challenges that face our world today. Lifestyle Insider is a showcase of all that is beautiful and luxe. Behind every creation, is a designer, chef, entrepreneur, or a design maison. I have delved into my own appreciation for objetsde luxe that I have admired over the years – be it a love of fashion from the world’s top Parisian and Italian fashion maisons and their ’90s muses, or the care that goes into sari and Indian textile collections in my own family. Growing up on four continents, as the daughter of a former Indian Ambassador, I’ve seen a remarkable array of historic places and met a myriad people. My aim is to bring my world view into this website, a curation of what I find particularly stunning, unique, and newsworthy.
It’s an exciting time for brands all over the world. With change comes opportunity. With the global ‘reset’ and uncertainty on many fronts, there is a chance to write a new script. Let’s be those pioneers.
