Kangana Trehan’s flagship store at Regency One, Chhattarpur, was recently abuzz with an unforgettable evening dedicated to the Women of Light. The event’s theme, Women of Light, paid homage to the extraordinary women who inspired the brand.
The changing room with its frescoed walls
Kangana Trehan’s inaugural store is an ode to her design philosophy. Its minimalist yet graceful interiors are punctuated with sleek garments in sumptuous materials, and thoughtfully curated spaces. Highlights include the signature changing rooms (with its frescoed walls), that offer an intimate, fun experience.
Chic, minimalist spaces abound
The evening evolved with a perfect harmony of glamour and meaning as guests explored the latest collection – a pleasant blend of traditional craftsmanship and bold, contemporary design – over cocktails and grazing platters. “I make the kind of clothes I personally would like to wear,” says Kangana, who started her atelier at home, before moving production to a factory in Delhi. “I love black and red, and these are the colours you see here today.”
Cocktailwear in luscious fabrics
Sophisticated, and perfect for cocktails or a night out on the town, there are black, gold, and crimson gowns, dresses, saris, pants, jackets, and shirts, some most with embellishments, such as sequins and embroidery.

A bit about me:
A luxury and fashion journalist with 25 years of experience in publishing and magazine journalism, I have edited some of India’s top fashion and luxury magazines. I got my BA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley, and went on to receive my Master’s in English and French from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have also studied German and Film.
