The Westin Jaipur Kant Kalwar Resort & Spa has just announced the appointment of Mr Kamaljit Singh as its General Manager, a milestone leadership addition that coincides with Marriott International’s landmark 200th property opening in India.
TAn esteemed alumnus of SCHM Mangalore, Kamaljit Singh is a seasoned hospitality expert with a distinguished career spanning global luxury brands and diverse environments, from bustling city hubs to intricate resort settings. Known for his people-first philosophy and a proven ability to drive operational excellence and revenue growth, he has earned numerous industry accolades for leadership, employer branding, and his skill in blending global standards with local sensibilities.
TIn his new role, Singh will oversee the resort’s strategic direction, focusing on Westin’s core pillars of wellbeing and intuitive service to establish the property as Rajasthan’s premier luxury and wellness destination.
TUnder his guidance, the resort will offer a unique ‘Westin lens’ on Jaipur, integrating the region's rich cultural heritage with holistic balance. Guests are invited to discover a sanctuary of renewal, whether through signature treatments at the Heavenly Spa, exploring the serene Aravali landscape, or savouring authentic regional flavours at Ira, the resort’s Indian specialty restaurant.
TDeeply committed to fostering a culture of care, Kamaljit Singh aims to ensure every guest touchpoint provides a sense of clarity and revitalization. "It is an honour to lead this resort and introduce diverse recreational activities that align perfectly with the Westin pillars," he says. "From our jogging track and cycling paths to our cricket turf and multi-sport courts, featuring pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and badminton, we offer something for every guest, alongside a dedicated Kids Club for our youngest visitors. I am equally proud to be a part of this historic chapter as we celebrate Marriott’s 200th hotel in India."

Lifestyle Insider is a kind of junction point, connecting people with diverse interests that touch on the more luxurious aspects of lifestyle – fashion, design, travel, food and spirits, art, watches and jewellery, cars, yachts, and aviation, and technology. People today don’t fit into boxes and categories. In our individual ways, we are interested in diverse themes, products, and the challenges that face our world today. You will judge how well this effort of mine caters to your passions and proclivities.
Lifestyle Insider is a showcase of all that is beautiful and luxe. Behind every creation, is a designer, chef, entrepreneur, or a design maison. I have delved into my own appreciation for objetsde luxe that I have admired over the years – be it a love of fashion from the world’s top Parisian and Italian fashion maisons and their ’90s muses, or the care that goes into sari and Indian textile collections in my own family. Growing up on four continents, as the daughter of a former Indian Ambassador, I’ve seen a remarkable array of historic places and met a myriad people. My aim is to bring my world view into this website, a curation of what I find particularly stunning, unique, and newsworthy.
It’s an exciting time for brands all over the world. With change comes opportunity. With the global ‘reset’ and uncertainty on many fronts, there is a chance to write a new script. Let’s be those pioneers.
