A Date With Michelin Stars

Le Bristol, Oetker Collection’s Palace hotel in Paris, will soon reopen the doors to its two Michelin-starred restaurants, 114 Faubourg (1 star) and Epicure (3 stars), welcoming travellers and Parisians to rediscover Executive Chef Eric Frechon’s signature menus presented with highly attentive service in opulent surroundings.

The Indian summer in Paris promises to reignite one’s gourmet appetite, because come Monday 29 August, Le Bristol will begin to reintroduce its complete gastronomic offering with the opening of its Michelin-starred brasserie 114 Faubourg for (lunch and dinner). The restaurant’s relaxed and jovial atmosphere will once again be filled with diners catching up over beautiful plates of Executive Chef Eric Frechon’s famous king crab, duck pâté with foie gras, and hand-chopped steak tartare – French classics prepared with a delicate twist.

And Friday 1 October is the date food lovers across Paris and beyond have been waiting for: the reopening of triple Michelin-starred Epicure. Eric Frechon’s divinely decadent truffle macaroni with foie gras, his impeccable caviar de Sologne and his spectacular bladder poached Bress farm hen will make their long-awaited return to Epicure’s exquisite nightly dinner service, to be savoured with the delicate wine pairings imagined by Head Sommelier Bernard Neveu.

“My teams and I have been dreaming about reopening for several months, and we can’t wait for 114 Faubourg’s and Epicure to be back again beginning this autumn,” says Eric Frechon, Executive Chef at Le Bristol. “Exceeding our guests’ expectations has always been our main accomplishment. The reopening of our restaurants will truly be a celebration of both creativity and tradition, delivered one heartfully crafted dish at a time.”

The delicious return of Le Bristol’s star-studded restaurants will be accompanied by a totally new take on the sweet side thanks to the recent arrival of the hotel’s new Head Pastry Chef Pascal Hainigue. 114 Faubourg’s and Epicure’s reopening will be the first time Pascal Hainigue’s imaginative and picturesque dessert creations appear on the restaurants’ menus.

Lifestyle Insider is a kind of junction point, connecting people with diverse interests that touch on the more luxurious aspects of lifestyle – fashion, design, travel, food and spirits, art, watches and jewellery, cars, yachts, and aviation, and technology. People today don’t fit into boxes and categories. In our individual ways, we are interested in diverse themes, products, and the challenges that face our world today. You will judge how well this effort of mine caters to your passions and proclivities.

Lifestyle Insider is a showcase of all that is beautiful and luxe. Behind every creation, is a designer, chef, entrepreneur, or a design maison. I have delved into my own appreciation for objetsde luxe that I have admired over the years – be it a love of fashion from the world’s top Parisian and Italian fashion maisons and their ’90s muses, or the care that goes into sari and Indian textile collections in my own family. Growing up on four continents, as the daughter of a former Indian Ambassador, I’ve seen a remarkable array of historic places and met a myriad people. My aim is to bring my world view into this website, a curation of what I find particularly stunning, unique, and newsworthy.

It’s an exciting time for brands all over the world. With change comes opportunity. With the global ‘reset’ and uncertainty on many fronts, there is a chance to write a new script. Let’s be those pioneers.

A bit about me:

I got my BA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley, and went on to receive my Master’s in English and French from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have also studied German and Film. I live in Gurugram, India, and look forward to once again exploring our world with a new-found freedom.
